YANGON
-----------

Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). Yangon is one of the last and finest examples of a colonial capital city centre in Southeast Asia, where one can see a lot of colourful colonial buildings downtown that still remain intact and preserved into the modern era. A jubilant and unique mix of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises, and gilded Buddhist pagodas define Yangon's skyline.

BAGAN

----------

Bagan, one of the richest archaeological sites of Southeast Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bagan has approximately 2000 ancient monuments and pagodas strewn all over the massive and beautiful Bagan Plain. Although Bagan is most famous for its historic monuments, it has a lot more than that to offer. Tourists can visit nearby local villages and watch people weaving cotton. Bagan is famous for its ancient craft, especially in lacquer.

MANDALAY

--------------

Mandalay is the second-largest city of Myanmar, located on the east bank of Irrawaddy River. It is the economic centre of Upper Myanmar and is regarded as the cultural capital of Myanmar. The royal capital of the last monarchy of Myanmar, Mandalay is also known for its fine gold and silver crafts, wood and marble carving, silk thread weaving and ancient tapestry.

INLE

------

Inle lake is located in the heart of the Shan hills of Myanmar. It is a beautiful highland lake, 900 meters above sea level. The lake is 22km long and 10km across, and is inhabited by many different ethnic groups in the area. The Intha people are the lake dwellers who are unique for their leg rowing. Leg rowed traditional boats are the main ceremonial attractions of the Inle lake.

NAYPYIDAW

-----------------

Nay Pyi Daw or ‘Abode of Kings’ has been the New Capital of Myanmar since 2005. It is also known as administrative and political capital of Myanmar. Gigantic spaces between occasional ministries, government buildings, malls and hotels are one of Nay Pyi Daw’s most striking features. Nay Pyi Daw also has a number of tourist destinations such as museums, pagodas, gardens as well as magnificent natural views which attract tourists from all over the world.

NGAPALI BEACH

---------------------

Ngapali Beach (pronounced Napally) is one of Asia’s most beautiful beaches, and is also one of the last remaining unspoiled beaches in Asia. Located in Rakhine State, Ngapali has turquoise blue water, pristine white soft sand, and is 7km long. Myanmar is home to some of the most incredible and undiscovered beaches in the world, with Ngapali being among the best of the best. Perfect palm trees all along the coastline make it one of the loveliest places in Myanmar. It makes for the perfect place to relax and marvel at the beautiful sunsets.
