Itinerary

Day 1

Yangon - Moe Yun Gyi

After breakfast, drive to MOE YUN GYI WETLAND (100 Km, 3 hours). Upon arrival transferred to hotel for check-in. After small refreshment, your journey starts bird-watching by private small boat around Moe Yun Gyi Lake. There are over 125 species of water birds, including 70 species of migrants in Moe Yun Gyi Wetland. Every year around October; during the cold season, millions of birds travel South wards along the East Australia. Fly away in search of Warmer Climate. Along this route, they stop to take a rest in the wetlands and Moe-yun-gyi is one of these.

Moe-yun-Gyi's peak tourist season is from October to April. At least 104 species of birds have been sighted at Moe-yun-gyi, 59 migratory and 45 residents, making this a perfect place for bird watcher.

Day 2

Moe Yun Gyi

After Breakfast, visit around lake by boat for bird-watching (thousands of birds are living in Moe Yun Gyi Lake. In the afternoon, visit to VILLAGES near Moe Yun Gyi Wetland by car. You can also observe the livelihood of local people, fauna and flora of the wetland.

Day 3

Moe Yun Gyi - Bago - Yangon

After breakfast you will return to YANGON. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Bago and continue sightseeing with the 55-meter long reclining SHWE THA LYAUNG Buddha, which is among one of the country's most impressive images as well as the four giant Buddha images at KYAIK PUN PAGODA. After visiting a 'Mon' weaving and handicraft village producing woven bamboo wares continue to Yangon. Stop en-route by an Allied War Graves cemetery near HTAUK KYAN and a "Nat" tree shrine.
