Sedona Hotel ( * * * *)

International first class city hotel with convenient location, relaxing atmosphere and excellent facilities.

Location: Situated opposite the Mandalay Royal Palace only 5 minutes from the city centre and 45 minutes from the Mandalay Airport.

Rooms: Tastefully decorated comfortable size rooms offer individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, safety box, IDD telephone and a hairdryer.
The 70 Superior rooms (32sqm) have a city view where as the 113 Deluxe rooms (32sqm) which are very similar of decoration have either Mandalay Palace or pool view.
The 12 Premier Balcony Suites are much larger in size (48sqm). They all have spacious terrace overlooking either the Mandalay Palace or the pool. The Premier Suites come with coffee & tea making facilities and fruit or flower baskets. There are also three other types of suites, all with full amenities. The 8 Ambassador and 1 Club Suites (both 64 sqm) overlook the Palace complex, but are without balcony. The Royal Suite is the largest room available in the hotel (128 sqm) with also views overlooking the Palace.

Facilities: The Uno restaurant serves outstanding Italian specialities. At Cafè Mandalay you will find a choice of international cuisine. The Planters Lounge is the perfect place for a drink or a game of pool. Other services offered include a small pharmacy, souvenir shops, wine boutique, deli corner, business centre, ballroom and fully equipped function rooms.

Mandalay Hill Resort (* * * *)

8-storey international first class hotel with panoramic views on a myriad of pagodas and the Mandalay Royal Palace. The hotel was formerly known as Novotel Mandalay. Beautiful swimming pool and spa Areas inspired by Myanmar architecture.

Location: Set at the foot of the Mandalay Hill, within 10 minutes drive from the city centre, 45 minutes from the airport.

Rooms: Comfortable rooms and suites featuring individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD telephone, mini-bar, safety box, radio, satellite TV and a hairdryer.

The 96 Superior rooms (22 sqm), have a view towards the Mandalay Royal Palace. They do not have coffee and tea making facilities.

The 78 Deluxe are slightly bigger (25 sqm) and have a Mandalay Hill View. They also have coffee and tea making facilities.

The hotel has several different suite categories, all come with private terraces and full amenities. The 8 Junior Suites (50 sqm) have a Royal Palace view, the 5 Executive Suites (110 sqm) and 1 Presidential Suite (122 sqm) have views over the Mandalay Hill.

Facilities: Ming’s restaurant offers the best Chinese food in town. At the Yadanabon Restaurant you will find an international buffet and brasserie menu. During the dry season sizzling BBQ is offered in the garden. Enjoy a relaxing drink at Kiplings Lobby Lounge or with your favourite tune from a CD at the Gem Bar. Other guest facilities include shops, business centre and meeting rooms.

Sport & Spa: Outdoor swimming pool with swim-up bar and children’s pool, tennis courts and health centre with gym. 18-hole golf course and a driving range adjacent to the hotel. The hotel has recently opened a new spa in the garden with a wide range of treatments.

A spacious and friendly countryside boutique resort, mostly constructed from teak wood and other Tropical hardwoods. Tastefully decorated rooms and excellent guest facilities offer an oasis to unwind away from  the bustling Mandalay city.

Location: Rural outskirts of Mandalay, along the Maymyo road. Within 15 minutes drive from the city centre and 1 hour from the airport.

Rooms: 10 Deluxe rooms (31 sqm) offer full amenities such as satellite TV, air-conditioning, mini-bar, hairdryer, bathtub and telephone. The 2 Family Suite Chalets (174 sqm), have three rooms each (2 twins and 1 double). The family suites also have free internet connection in the room. Family suite guests will have VIP check in. All the rooms are built of teak wood and decorated in modern oriental style.

Facilities: 3 Restaurants serving Thai, Chinese and European specialities and 2 bars. Business centre & Internet.

Hotel by the Red Canal (* * *)

A friendly and modern international standard small hotel,  built in traditional Myanmar style,  fitted with all
modern amenities.

Location: In a local residential area within proximity of the Red Canal, 15 minutes walk and 5 minutes drive away from the city centre. 45 minutes from the airport.

Rooms: All 25 Suite rooms are tastefully decorated and divided into 4 different categories, each representing different minority people. The Chin, Kachin, Rakhine and Shan Suites have all slightly different decoration and room size which varies from 33sqm to 36sqm. The room amenities include bathtub, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, coffee and tea making, safety box and a hair dryer. Shan and Kachin Suites have small private balconies overlooking the garden and swimming pool of the hotel.

Mandalay Swan Hotel (* * *)

Medium sized middle class city hotel with 2 storey hotel buildings is located in the best place of  Mandalay,  nearby Sedona Hotel. The hotel offers a resort style Atmosphere with good range of services and facilities.

Location: Opposite the Mandalay Royal Palace. Within 5 minutes drive from the downtown and 45 minutes from the airport.

Rooms: Well appointed rooms with all facilities such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, in-house music and mini-bar. IDD phone and coffee and tea making facilities can be requested at the reception. Nearly all rooms have pool and garden views to the inner courtyard of the hotel.

The 51 Standard rooms (23 sqm) have shower only.
The 20 Superior rooms (35 sqm) come with a bathtub.
The 13 Junior suites are larger in size (52 sqm) and come with same amenities and separate bathtubs and showers.

Facilities: Lobby lounge, business centre, grand ballroom and meeting rooms. Dining options vary from the international cuisine served at Swan Cafè  Myanmar and other Asian delicacies from the Peking Restaurant, famous steamboat dishes at Hot Pot Suki or light snacks, fresh juices and beer at The Kipling Cafè.

Mandalay City Hotel (* * *)

A typical midrange 3-storey Myanmar city hotel of contemporary design, catering to tourists and business
people.

Location: In the heart of Mandalay city within walking distance from all services and 45 minutes drive from the Mandalay airport.

Rooms: Comfortable rooms with parquet floors and individual air-conditioning, mini-bar, Satellite TV, IDD telephone, safety box, tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have been recently renovated and have a bathtub, with the exception of two superior rooms.

The 56 Superior Rooms (28 sqm)
The 6 Deluxe rooms are slightly bigger (30 sqm) and have a fruit or flower basket and own dining table in addition to amenities of Superior rooms.

Facilities: Restaurant and a small bar serving Myanmar, Chinese as well as a few Western dishes, 24hr room service. Internet & Email centre.

Emerald Land Inn (* *)

Small, charming, family run tourist class hotel built around a small courtyard nicely landscaped like a Japanese garden.

Location: In a quiet residential area within 5-10min drive from the city centre and Mandalay Royal Palace, 45 minutes drive away from the airport.

Rooms: Well-furnished rooms with air-conditioning, mini-bar, TV, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.

17 Standard rooms (26 sqm), with shower and no verandas.
21 Superior rooms (46 sqm) are newer and recently refurbished. They are located in low rise buildings, the amenities and facilities include a bathtub and small veranda facing the courtyard of the hotel, some overlooking the swimming pool.

Simple, functional and modern tourist class hotel built in Myanmar design.

Location: In a residential area outside the city centre. 5 Minutes from downtown and 45 minutes from the airport.

Rooms: The 38 standard rooms (25 sqm), 2 Suites (38 sqm). These simple but clean rooms all have wooden floors, air-conditioning, TV and mini-bar.

Facilities: Spacious lobby lounge and dining room, a meeting room, beauty saloon and a small souvenir shop.

Typical 3-storey Myanmar tourist class city hotel of medium size. The hotel offers basic services and budget range accommodation.

Location: In a residential area, within city boundaries and 10 minutes drive from the city centre, 45 minutes from the airport.

Rooms: The rooms are spacious and furnished with handcrafted wooden furniture. Room amenities include air-conditioning, TV, telephone and mini-bar.

The 16 Superior rooms (32sqm) have private lake view and come with shower.
The 4 Deluxe rooms (52sqm) are larger and have a city view and come with a bathtub.
The Suite Room is the largest (85 sqm) and has a city view.
