Buddhist Wedding Ceremony On Inle Lake

DAY 01           HEHO - INLE LAKE

Upon arrival at Heho airport proceed to NYANG SHWE (32km – 1:20 hour). Transfer by boat to your hotel. Special welcome with petals of flowers while soft music will be played. Check-into your special room decorated to fit the occasion. Tailored traditional Shan wedding gowns for the blessing ceremony have been delicately prepared.
Time permitting sightseeing on the lake will include the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. Lunch will be served on a floating restaurant or at the hotel.
Late afternoon you will be treated with a massage before relaxing in a bathtub covered of flower petals while sipping a glass of Champagne. Dinner at the hotel while musicians will play for you, then return to your room.
Overnight stay in Inle Lake.

DAY 02          INLE LAKE

Breakfast will be served on the terrace of your room. Prior to your Buddhist Blessing, the bride will have her hair and make up done. Both bride and groom will be dressed in traditional Shan wedding gowns. A Buddhist ceremony will be held in your honor and you will receive the traditional wedding blessing from the monks. The ceremony will be filmed and pictures will be taken, followed by a donation in your name to the local monastery and lunch offerings to the monks.
After you have taken your lunch at the hotel private sightseeing by boat will be organized to visit local villages and monasteries. As a newly wed couple you will receive the blessings and good fortune wishes from villagers and monks. Return to hotel by boat.
Cocktails will be offered on the terrace of your room. The chef will dedicate this special dinner tonight to your honeymoon in a romantic atmosphere of candles and scents.
Traditional Shan wedding couples write their personal wishes on a wooden heart which is then laid in a basket attached to a balloon. You will be invited to follow these traditions and send the balloon filled with smoke into the night sky.

DAY 03          INLE LAKE - HEHO – THANDWE – NGAPALI BEACH

Breakfast at the hotel. Time at leisure at hotel or last sightseeing on the lake until your transfer to HEHO airport (32km – 1:20 hour) for your flight to Ngapali Beach and transferred you to your hotel.
Enjoy the crystal clear waters and un-spoilt paradise beaches of Ngapali.
You can swim, snorkel or take leisurely strolls along the ocean. Board a boat to explore the offshore islands (available at hotel) or rent a bicycle for a trip to the fishing villages and colorful markets nearby. Watch the breathtaking sunset above the Bay of Bengal. (activities are not included in our package)
Overnight stay in Ngapali Beach.
